Futon is an international band based in Bangkok, Thailand.

History

Futon's first single, a cover of The Stooges' "I Wanna Be Your Dog" topped the Thai Radio charts in 2003. Their debut album, Never Mind the Botox , was released in November 2003 in Thailand. In 2004, industrial electronic group Coil remixed "I Wanna Be Your Dog." Later that year, Futon headlined a show at the Camden Underworld in London, and appeared on the soundtrack to the HBO documentary Thinking XXX .

In 2005, Futon's music video for "Tokyo Sunset" was nominated for a Channel V Award. The band also presented an award at the event. Their second album, Love Bites , was released in Thailand in July, winning them MTV Thailand's Artist Alert of the Month. A compilation album, Give Me More! , was released in Japan on Avex Trax.

In 2006, Futon was chosen to front Tiger Beer's "Translate" tour, doing shows in Shanghai, Dublin, Singapore and Bangkok. Later that year, the band was featured in the UK's Observer Music Monthly magazine. On June 23, 2007, Futon headlined the annual Fête de la Musique at National Stadium. The band's third album, Pain Killer , was released On August 11, 2007.
